Come on down to Working Bikes Cooperative, 2434 S. Western Ave., tonight from 5 to 9pm, where you can learn about bicycle maintenance while helping rebuild and refurbish bikes to be sold in the store or given to local charities. All skill levels are welcome at this volunteer session.
Fictlicious returns to the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight at 7pm (doors at 6). The theme this time is "second chances," and features readings of short fiction by Natalia Nebel, Doug Reed, Brian Harder, Paul Nicholas Jones and Micki LeSueur, and live music by Liam Davis, Stephanie Rogers and Matthew Shelton. $10 at the door. 21+
