Chicago Critics Film Festival
The third annual Chicago Critics Film Festival runs May 1-7 at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave. Tonight's films include The Second Mother at 5pm, The End of the Tour at 7pm with director James Ponsoldt and star Joan Cusack on hand for a Q&A, and Night Owls at 10pm with director Charles Hood and star Adam Pally in attendance for a Q&A. Moth StorySLAM winner Erin Diamond and Comedian Bente Engelstoft host Oral, a new weekly storytelling hour at the Annoyance Theatre and Bar, 951 W. Belmont Ave., at 8pm. This week's readers include Peter S Kim, Chris Kervick, Sade Hutchinson and Steve Nelson. Admission is $8.
WORDS+MUSIC #7 @ Empty Bottle
