Spring is one of the prettiest times of year in Chicago. Maybe it's the dramatic weather -- from sun to storms to surprise snowfall and back again, all in the space of a week. Or the re-greening of the trees, the blossoming flora breaking through the drabness of winter. Whatever it is, it makes this a particularly picturesque period.

The contributors to our Rearview section present this selection of photographs they feel capture the essence of spring in the city (and suburbs). Enjoy!
