• Chicagoist has a great interview with Grant Achatz; he'll be talking with NYTimes food critic Michael Ruhlman this Sunday, Mar. 4 at 3pm at the Steppenwolf Theatre.
• Logan Square may get a permanent farmers market, reports the Reader's Food Chain. The Logan Square Farmers Market is going independent this summer, a la Green City Market.
• Dietitian Janet Helm wants you to get more essential minerals and vitamins in your diet.
• McDonald's is getting into the upscale coffee market, the Wall Street Journal reports. Lattes and mochas are on the menu in some locations already, so expect to see the McCappuccino in your local store soon. (I wonder if that's why I've seen so many McD's "closed for remodeling," or if it's connected to the denied rumors that they're launching all-day breakfast.)
• Speaking of McDonald's breakfasts, a woman in Florida claimed to have found a razor blade in her McMuffin.
