Time Out's feature this week? Ice cream! The issue includes reviews of different locations to find the icy treat and its variations in the Chicagoland area, as well as homages to Chicagoisms (the Chicago hot dog, an Ann Sather cinnamon bun, etc.) as expressed by ice cream and a review of five different ice cream makers, which I feel is a must-have for the summer.

I'm shocked that Sweet Occasions isn't on your list of ice cream places to vote for. You've obviously not had their Zanzibar chocolate ice cream...
Not to mention that 3 of the 4 venues we can vote for are not even located IN Chicago, despite stating that "readers can vote for their favorite frozen treats in the city."

Also, we're running a Web-only feature for the next month where readers can vote for their favorite frozen treats in the city. The choices start with a Sweet 16 and will eventually be narrowed down to one ultimate winner. It's like March Madness. Except in June. And with ice cream. And no shot clock.
