Chicago's Tastiest Street

Good Magazine recently published an article on America's Tastiest Streets. Broadway in Chicago's Lakeview and Edgewater neighborhoods shares the page with picks in Queens, Houston, Seattle, Miami, Nashville, and Los Angeles. The article highlights the following establishments with a favorite offering from each. See the Chicago list after the jump.

"ETHIOPIAN DIAMOND
6120 N. Broadway Street
Try the: Doro watt

THE GREEN MILL
4802 N. Broadway Street
Try the: Rye whiskey

LA FONDA LATINO GRILL
5350 N. Broadway St.
Try the: Churrasco

SILVER SEAFOOD

4829 N. Broadway Street
Try the: Steamed red snapper

THAI PASTRY
4225 Fremont Avenue
Try the: Vermicelli and coconut-milk deserts"

What do you consider to be the tastiest street in Chicago?

I'm a big fan of Roscoe Street, which I think is unsung. There's Frasca at Roscoe and Paulina, and then on the main strip, LaMora, Victory's Banner, Kitsch'n, Piazza Bella, and Thai Linda.

I'd second Roscoe -- I miss the old neighborhood. Also, Clark between Carmen and Hollywood is no slouch: La Donna, Konak's, the Hopleaf, Kopi, Reza's, Andie's, M. Henry, Taste of Heaven, Sweet Occasions, and Ikosium Cafe.

And of course there's Devon.

When Brewers and Chefs Meet: A Love Story

By Brandy Gonsoulin

Jesse Valenciana knew what he wanted his mole-inspired stout to taste like, but he was a cook and home brewer, not a professional brewmaster. The co-founder of ManBQue, the local men's grilling and social club, and recent author needed a...
