Quick! Order that wine!
If you've been considering ordering a bottle of wine from an out-of-state vineyard that you maybe visited, or enjoyed in the past, you better hurry. After June 1 it becomes harder to order wine directly from out-of-state vineyards. You can order up to 12 cases of wine directly from vineyards who have a state-shipping license, but you can't order wine from out-of-state retailers. Even though you've been able to order wine from out-of-state retailers for the last 15 years, and even though the US Supreme Court decreed that states can't enact burdens on out-of-state producers or shippers, the fine liquor distributors who are supporting our legislators in IL have passed this new legislation.
