Another hair brained idea from an Aldercreature!
So let's see, someone else catches the Asian Carp, and then we feed the poor with it.
Great Idea, except why should someone else catch it for the poor, why can't the poor just enjoy the day catching their own asian carp, or any other fish.
If they are poor, more than likely they do not have a job, so they have the time to catch fish and feed themselves.
Oh, I forgot, they do not have a pole, reel, hook, and bait.
So Alderman, please provide the items listed above so the poor can catch their own fish.
Oh, do you think they will need a ride to the lake to so they can get to where the fish are?
Oh, Alderman, please pass an ordainance that all people that have fishing poles in hand can now ride the bus for free as long as they are going to the lake.
Oh, do you think they will also need a fishing license?
Oh, Alderman, please pass another ordainance that provides free fishing licenses for anyone that comes in with a fishing pole so they can catch asian carp.
Oh, I forgot, their are no Asian Carp in the Lake or the river, so they will need to go to Peoria to catch the Asian Carp. Good send them their by bus for free with a fishing pole and they can just eat all the free fish they catch. Maybe they will like them so much that they will just stay there.
Good Idea Alderman!
