Winner, Winner, Chicken (and Beer) Dinner
Several local breweries garnered honors at the Great American Beer Festival last month. Among the local gold medalists were Goose Island's 312 Urban Wheat Ale, Hamm's, and Miller Lite. (Yes, really.) Bronze medals in the 76 more flavorful/interesting categories went to Three Floyds' Munsterfest, Flossmoor Station's Pullman Brown, Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout, and Two Brothers' Domaine Dupage as well as localish favorites New Glarus, for their Raspberry Tart, and Bell's 1995 Expedition Stout.
