Is the old guard losing its touch?
That's part of the question Indianbadger-- the old guard could be the original reviewer (Vettel) or Trotter. I find Dolinsky's tweets interesting as they are an embodiment of the ongoing tug-of-war between the old stalwarts and the more affordable small plates, locally focused cuisine. And quite frankly, I think that war keeps both sides on their toes, meaning higher quality food and more ingenuity for you and me.

Which old guard you are referring to here? Trotter or Dolinsky? I rather think Dolinsky is more of a out of touch hack, a la pat Bruno, than Trotter who still commands a wait list for his restaurant.
