Frasca Celebrates National Pizza Week
While turkey neck soup, dog biscuits and pigs-in-a-blanket only get one measly day in our fecund American food day calendar, pizza has fought its way into our hearts and onto our plates so as to necessitate an entire week!
Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar, which haunts the corner of Paulina and Lincoln, taunting any Brown Line commuter looking for decent weekly drink and food deals, is offering to help you forget your new year resolutions, just two weeks into 2012. Starting Monday, Jan. 9, Frasca is giving away pies, hosting classes, and generally celebrating Chicago's love of pizza.
Monday, Jan. 9: Free t-shirts will be given to the first 50 people who order pizzas.
Tuesday, Jan. 10: Every pizza purchased receives a free coupon good for one free Margherita pizza (with purchase of pizza, pasta or entrée). Valid Jan 11-Feb. 11. Dine in only.
Wednesday, Jan. 11: Buy one get one free pizzas.
Thursday, Jan. 12: Pizza Week Pizza Cooking Class! 6:30pm $25 per person (includes instruction, pizza and two glasses of wine) Learn how to prepare the perfect pizza at this interactive cooking class led by Frasca's general manager, Jason Ring. Each "pizza pupil" will get to select the type of pizza they would like to make, Margherita or pepperoni, while sipping vino and learning the secrets of Frasca's famous crispy thin crusts. Reserve your spot by calling 773-248-5222.
