Brewery Openings & Other Beer Fun
Breakroom Brewery officially opens tonight at 4pm at 2925 W. Montrose Ave. It's come a long way since the Gapers Block Microbrewery Crawl toured the space back in November -- where there were once bare studs there is now a beautifully finished tap room befitting a brewery run by a bar manufacturing company.
This Friday, April 3, at noon, Begyle Brewing releases its "Maybe Next Year" barrel-aged imperial brown ale, in 22oz bombers for $15 a bottle. The brewery at 1800 W. Cuyler Ave. will be open from noon to 9pm, and regular hours this weekend.
For those of your who are fans of both Untappd and cheap domestics, Old Style has a contest for you. They've created custom patches for 19 Chicagoland neighborhoods and suburbs. Check in on Untappd as drinking an Old Style in one of those neighborhoods and not only will you get a badge for it in the app, but you'll be able to get a matching actual patch to sew onto your drinking jacket.
If you check into 10 neighborhoods, you'll be eligible to win a limited edition Old Style jacket, and if you make it to all 19 -- which will mean traveling as far afield as Beverly, Batavia, Naperville and Lincoln Square -- you could win a mini-fridge for your tallboys.

how is lincoln square on the same page distance why as Beverly and Batavia?
it's where the first brewery you mention is located! I've never understood the mindset of 'lincoln sq is soooo far away'. mostly from those who never venture 50 ft farther than the red line or the blue line.
