Corridor to Open on Southport Corridor
The team behind DryHop Brewers open their newest project, Corridor Brewery & Provisions, on Thursday Thursday, Oct. 15 at 3446 N. Southport Ave. The new spot, just a few doors north of the Southport Brown Line stop, will be open from 5 to 11pm on its first day, and 11am to midnight daily from there forward.
Corridor will offer six beers on draft and to-go in 32-ounce half-growler cans, or "crowlers." (No growlers to begin with, but they're happy to fill yours.) The inaugural draft list includes:
• Cotton Candy Goat - Poire Biere de Table (4.0% ABV)
• First Daze Here - Saison (5.7% ABV)
• Freaky Deaky - Belgian Breakfast Stout (6.8% ABV)
• Nibble, Nibble Little Mouse - Pumpkin Spice & Walnut Farmhouse Ale (6.5% ABV)
• What Big Teeth! -APA (6.1% ABV)
• Wizard Fight - Nitro Lactose IPA (7.0% ABV)
As with DryHop, the kitchen will be producing beer-friendly fare, here under a "rustic farmhouse" concept. Executive Chef Joel Pillar's menu features flatbreads and sandwiches baked in a clay hearth oven, as well as heartier dishes like Flemish stew and fish and chips.
"We're very excited to expand from DryHop in East Lakeview to Corridor in another Chicago neighborhood," said owner Greg Shuff in a press release. "For us, our goal is doing for craft beer what talented Chicago restaurant groups have done for the local food scene."
