dark knight!!

there may be a few others im looking forward to that i'm forgetting, but there are many many more that im NOT looking forward to that i wish i could forget.

cliff on rosedale / April 28, 2008 9:53 AM

Iron Man

Speed Racer

Indy!

Dark Knight

The Incredible Hulk

Wall-E

Wanted

And pretty muche everything that will be showing at the Music Box.

Kefir / April 28, 2008 9:55 AM

Iron Man! And maybe Speed Racer (although it looks a little too hyper and cotton-candyish for me). But then again, those type of blockbuster movies are the only ones they promote so that you can look forward to them. The others kind of sneak up on you. I mean, was there a year-long buzz over "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"?

Carrie / April 28, 2008 12:18 PM

Baby Mama-- it's out tomorrow. Awesome.

That's all I can think of right now.

annie / April 28, 2008 12:53 PM

Sex and the City. I know a lot people gave this show shit, but I thought it was very smart, I'm just interested to see what the story is going to be for the movie. I was looking forward to Young @ Heart, but I saw it and loved it.

Hal / April 28, 2008 3:03 PM

Iron Man
Speed Racer
Prince Caspian (Narnia)
Dark Night

Mucky Fingers / April 28, 2008 3:10 PM

Indiana Jones 4, The Dark Knight, The Happening (still love Shyamalan), Hancock, and Hulk 2 (only cause Norton's a bad-ass actor).

Spook / April 28, 2008 3:36 PM

Sin City II
and that movie where the round opens up and swallows every body down to the infernal molten core
who goes to see Sex in the City or rents it.

I also think The Punisher is coming out with another installment!

SR / April 29, 2008 7:50 AM

The Dark Knight is the only movie that I'm actively looking forward to seeing over the summer.

Greg / April 29, 2008 9:19 AM

Dark Knight

Indy (only because Marion is back)

Choke (based on the Pahlaniuk book)

Pineapple Express

KT / April 29, 2008 10:06 AM

Hellboy two and

Young @ Heart !

Hal / April 29, 2008 1:15 PM

Can't believe I forgot Hellboy 2.

And looking at my list, I see that every single one of them is an adaptation from a book or comic.

Hmm. I think that just means I haven't been watching enough trailers that others stuck in my head.

Just have to say, thought... Saw "Iron Man" last night.

Pretty f*cking good. And I'm a tough customer.

No spoilers from me though. Just go see it.

Dubi / April 29, 2008 4:16 PM

Mister Lonely

Jill / April 29, 2008 4:43 PM

Sex and the City! (totally agree with Annie--very smart show)

Also Indiana Jones, Dark Knight, and MAYBE Get Smart

KT / April 29, 2008 6:13 PM

Oh -- and Mamma Mia!

Simone / April 29, 2008 6:15 PM

So ... can someone explain why Sex in the City is good? I watch it sometimes, but I usually consider it a guilty pleasure.

Spook / April 30, 2008 11:14 AM

Simone, the same reason that “Red Eye” like publications continue to increase even amongst the “educated” as does reality TV, etc, etc, etc.
I would suggest checking out the following books
“The Age of American Unreason” and “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America - A Chronological Paper Trail” But as substantial reading in America including novels is down to an all time low, why bother?
But 100 years from now hopefully a civilized and reflective people will understand that Bush is a mirror of American stupidity

p.s that's a keeper!

"Sex and the City! a very smart show!"

steven / April 30, 2008 2:48 PM

Indiana Jones, Dark Knight. All the others can suck it.

B/S Monitor / April 30, 2008 4:37 PM

Spook…so let me get this straight.

You answer the post with the movies you have seen/want to see. You actually list the movies you have seen and want to see!
THEN, you give your plug about how “substantial reading in America including novels is down to an all time low”.

Since you are here judging people in the most hypocritical way, please allow me to judge.

This question should be “what Netflix new release movie are you looking forward to the most”. The reason is that movies in theaters are absolutely the most disgusting place on earth. Have you seen the scumbags that hang out at movie theaters? Have you seen the scumbags that work there?

Oh, there is a special $5 Wednesday’s?

The lower the price, the MORE scumbags that come out to see the movie.

In the privacy of my own home, no scumbags allowed! Gotta love Netflix!

There was that story of a theater who wants to charge $35 for a movie…BAM! I’ll be there. No scumbag will pay that much to soak up the A/C. No scumbag will pay that much for a chance to take a nap while the scumbag kids talk and walk around throughout the whole movie.

Anyways, Spook, it seems odd that in your way of thinking, it is “okay” to go to movies…but reality TV and the Red Eye “dumb down America”.

P.S. Spook...you forgot to mention you were originally from New York

P.S.S. I am looking forward to ZERO movies coming out to the theater.

Spook / April 30, 2008 5:43 PM

B/S Monitor

Remember I was just answering the lady's question!

But its all about the quaility of the movies not when they come out

So in your case I would say
see you around the Zombie Apocalypse. But as you have not been steeped in The George A. Romero Trilogy.

You will not survive.
Hopefully you will be put down with a bullet to the brain, least you rise as the first B/S Monitor Zombie!!!!!!!

p.s a slow moving Zombie of course!

simone / April 30, 2008 6:21 PM

Oh, how netflix has revolutionized movie-watching. New dvd releases I'm looking forward to:

King Corn
Sweeney Todd
Hannah Takes the Stairs
Persepolis
Juno
I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With

Spook / May 1, 2008 8:55 AM

As soon as Gang Banger Video on Armitage and Kedzie gets the last season of HBO's The Wire in June, I'm all over it like Omar be on drug dealers!
