I'd say that counts, yaj.
Maude's Liquor Bar, without a doubt. Their only failure rests in its name which is anything but a plain old liquor bar. Quintessential Parisan bistro food, well executed, timely service and fizzy cocktails. What else could you want?
I have only been to the Paris incarnation of Next, but it was a great experience. The wine pairings were spot on and really made the meal. Not a formal spot, but if you haven't been to the Gaztro Wagon shop just north of Andersonville go there now! So good!
Burger Philosophy in Andersonville (my kingdom for a pretzel roll!) and Nookies on Bryn Mawr. For dessert, Chimney Cake Island on Devon & Glenwood for tasty baltic cakey tubes of sweet deliciousness. Yum on the northside!
davanti enoteca on taylor street is really good. small plates, decent prices, great wine list. all wines, i learned, are offered at retail value, with a $7 corkage fee attached. so no more wondering why a place is charging $30 for a $10 bottle of wine. the farro with squash was fantastic, pasta with cheese and pepper was great, ricotta and honey with grilled toast was delicious (if a little skimpy on the honey). service was great. a really, really nice place.

Ruxbin's about a year old, is it still new? It is fantastic, definitely on my best of 2011 list.
