AGain with the stupid ass fuel questions...
Lucha VaVoom, baby! Can't wait.
I am glad you asked. I am going to reenact the May 5, 1862 battle in which 2,000 troops under the direction of General Ignacio Zaragosa killed more than 1,000 French troops in the fortified hills of Loreto and Guadalupe near Puebla.
Then I'll have some beer.
I will call my friend, whose ancestors are from Mexico, and wish her a happy Cinco de Mayo.
May 5 was my grandma's birthday. She died last summer, so I'm going up to Evanston to have dinner and drinks with my mom, to toast her mom.
I don't see how this is any dumber than asking if you've got St. Patrick's Day plans. I'm not Irish and I'm not Mexican, but I'll take the opportunity to drink to either country.
First I will take 1,000 French troops and place them in a large, store-bought pie-shell, I cannot be bothered to make a pie-shell from scratch, I am very busy. To this I add a large quantity of chicken broth cover with potato chips and bake at 375 for 14 hours...
Cinco de Mayo?
We celebrate May Day here, comrade.
Now where is that big picture of Lennin...?
I don't know 'bout all you, but I'm thinking burritos.
probably scarf some US-style hard-shell tacos.
Relishing my memories of Quatro de Mayo.
Since I went to a Mexican restaurant on St Pat's Day...I'm banking on an Irish Tavern for Cinco de Mayo. The reason I do this is simple. These dates, much like New Year's Eve, are generally amateur nite for the countless idiots. If there is anything I cannot stomach, it's a poser.
re above:
being a professional drinker as I am.
Protest military recruitment of Latinas. Hey, you asked.
"Protest military recruitment of Latinas."? It is a day celebrating a military victory. I can assure you there were many Latinas under my command that day in 1862. We were very forward thinking...Viva la Latinas!
Watching Channel 6 with a bottle of Jeurgens and a box of Kleenex.

Those novellas make me cry!
Ha Tommy #1! You wouldn't have happened to be at El Cid on St. Patty's day?
My husband and I -- who are totally Irish -- we celebrating our green in the form of guacamole and lime margaritas that night.
So, I guess it's off to the Abbey for some fish'n'chips tomorrow (after I call my friend, of course -- see above).
Throw back some NyQuil in Pilsen, since I'm sick, and I live here.
Unfortunately, I live in DC, where the most Mexican thing I have seen is a Baja Fresh. But 4th of July should be fun! Right?
Drunk by noon.
Hovering outside of my school library where my students are taking their AP Literature exam while occasionally slipping into the bathroom to vomit. I'm a little nervous...
I plan on making this Japanese guacamole. Just to confuse people.
It's my friends birthday, so we're going to the Sox game followed by lots of drunk and stupid with a side of retarded.
