No more layoffs at work and a mild winter.
That Carlos Noyola's new collection of 1,300 belongings of Frida Kahlo- letters, stuffed hummingbirds, notebook of private thoughts, lots of drawings, etc,- are in fact REAL!
A freakishly warm winter, that leads to a freakishly hot summer!
to focus and write a much improved second draft of my fellowship application...so that I can do my year of field research in rwanda and burundi. (lots of future planning riding on this...)
Comfortable, cute rainboots!
- to keep my job.
- to see Man City crack the top 4 and stay there all season long.
More nights like last one at the UIC Pavillion
Lunch at Svea. And for once, my wish will materialize, literally within hours.
A job. Preferably one that doesn't just pay the bills, but is interesting and challenging, and has fun, smart coworkers.
For @printdude to get that house. It's gorgeous.
World peace. Health care for everybody. A puppy. A new apartment. A boyfriend (or at least someone to make out with a little on New Year's Eve).
A great boyfriend. Pronto.
a great girlfriend.
a speedy recovery for my madre.
an aux input for my ipod in my car
I also wish the best for printdude.
I wish for a job I like and a cute guy to cross my path.
I wish happiness and good health to everyone who reads this.
Thanks, fluffy!
I had thought of material things, but in this economy, with friends and family out of work, wishing for a Roomba seems downright ludicrous. Health and happines would be quite enough.
that I had my camera with me so that I could take a picture of the three suburban dads walking in their ed hardy shirts & hats, with their kids.
I wish that the unions weren't so powerful that the city's non-union employees have to get bent over in the 2010 budget.
I wish I were independently wealthy so that my second wish wouldn't matter, at least not on a personal level.
For the $1200 in fraudulent charges on my credit card to be resolved without having to sue someone I thought was a friend. For better health in my family. For my boyfriend to man up and start treating me better.
A new job and one of those Mac memory cubes.
A full-time job that pays the bills. A birthday next week that is peaceful and happy. More energy and optimism. Enough of everything good for all of us.
