Brenda / February 13, 2004 9:41 AM

put me down as a "maybe"

Naz / February 13, 2004 9:49 AM

I am guessing there will be many "maybe's". All good though. We'll be maxin' and relaxin', loungin' and scroungin', drinkin' and mixin'.

Cinnamon / February 13, 2004 9:56 AM

Shuckin' and jivin'?
hell yeah

Jenn / February 13, 2004 10:00 AM

Add two more maybes to the list.

Alice / February 13, 2004 10:55 AM

Putting us on the spot, eh? Nice. I missed the last Danny's get-together, but I'm going to try to make it tonight.

christian / February 13, 2004 11:17 AM

Yes. At some point in time, drinkin' is in order.

Andrew / February 13, 2004 11:37 AM

Well, we wanted to be able to warn Danny's if there's going to be 50 more people showing up tonight than normal, so they can bring in reinforcements if necessary.

It probably goes without saying that Cinnamon and I will be present.

Dan / February 13, 2004 12:05 PM

I was plannin' on doing some drinkin' anyways. Might as well be at Danny's.

j3s / February 13, 2004 12:41 PM

I enjoyed the last one, and was wanting to stop by this time. Some friends are in from out of town that I have to hang out with, but I was hoping I could bring them along for a round or two.

paul / February 13, 2004 12:48 PM

Put me down as a 'tentative'.

Alex / February 13, 2004 1:02 PM

I'm down.

Or rather, I intend to be there just as much as I did at the last event, at which I didn't actually show :(

me and betty jean / February 13, 2004 1:18 PM

Us two is coming, but wont stay long if the place is filled with partially osmoided, regurgitated polymorphic chemically imbalanced tobacco fumerola, wheezed from the tail-pipes of soul vehicles.

suzanne / February 13, 2004 1:43 PM

maybe, depends on if i'm not too tired from rockin' it out folk-style at schubas tonite! might bring some friends as well.

brian / February 13, 2004 2:27 PM

Shylo and I will probably drop by. We'll be wearing trendy sunglasses and will laugh a little too hard at all of your jokes.

Ian / February 13, 2004 2:45 PM

Well put me down for "no." I'll be drunk as a skunk and in the gutter by six-o-clock with no capacity to direct my own bowel movements much less my physical direction.

Have a great time though!

dce / February 13, 2004 3:32 PM

I'll be there, but can we try to keep things under control this time? It's really irritating when Gapers Block staff members get drunk, loud and boorish (I'll spare names so no one is embarrassed).

armaghetto / February 13, 2004 4:23 PM

I'm shy. And I also feel like I'd be crashing a party, seeing as how I've only been a Chicagoan for just over a year and a gaper for just about a year.

Andrew / February 13, 2004 4:49 PM

Not at all, Armaghetto. You're always welcome.

Naz / February 13, 2004 4:57 PM

Come one, come all!

Kris / February 13, 2004 5:44 PM

If anyone's still reading this, I'll be there. Suz, you going to see Mindy Smith? You'll have to tell me all about it.

Lilly / February 15, 2004 12:44 AM

Your Gaper's Block get-togethers
have been a blast. Sometimes the
diversity of the city can get me
down, so its always a breath of
fresh air to be able to get away
from it all. Different cultures
are cool and everything, but sometimes
it's nice to just be around a
bunch of people who look and act
pretty much the same. Thanks again!

Kenan / February 15, 2004 3:43 AM

Ha!

Um... I think she was calling you vanilla, guys. You gonna take that? FITE!

dce / February 15, 2004 3:18 PM

Anonymous poster, frustrated with the apparent lack of "color" posts snarky comment: How very noble.

Dearest Lilly, should you have any desire to contribute something constructive - perhaps an article that addresses the technology divide, issues facing minorities who lack the schools and infrastructure necessary to participate in forums like this one, etc. I'm sure you'd be more than welcome here.

If you're not part of the solution . . .
