They're both equally inept.

....so does Devin Hester have a strong arm?

J D / September 30, 2007 9:05 PM

Can we forfit the season and go back to camp?
I'm just going to put my head down and focus on the Cubs

mike-ts / September 30, 2007 10:33 PM

Orton.

RobJ / October 1, 2007 2:15 AM

I think Grossman is the better quarterback, but I also don't think it matters much at this point. We have no running game this season, an aging offensive line, receivers who drop balls and give up on their routes, and an offensive coordinator who reminds me more and more of John Shoop with each passing week.

Put Grossman in. Put Griese in. Put Kyle Orton in. Hell, bring Steve Fuller out of retirement and let him play! I just don't think the quarterback position is the biggest problem right now.

SR / October 1, 2007 7:26 AM

Neither of them is very good. At this point in his career, Grossman has more "upside".

charlie / October 1, 2007 7:53 AM

This question makes numerous assumptions........

None of which hold true with me.

pantagrapher / October 1, 2007 8:04 AM

Gotta give the edge to Griese based on career numbers. Let him knock the rust off before we run him out of town.

peta / October 1, 2007 8:54 AM

Jim McMahon

carrie / October 1, 2007 9:25 AM

I didn't watch, but we lost...sooo aren't they the same? maahaaa

Leelah / October 1, 2007 10:07 AM

I love Tony Romo!

Caffeine Free / October 1, 2007 10:10 AM

I'd have to agree that they both seem equally not so great.

On the one hand, at least Grossman has an entire season of "experience", while Griese is a little stale.

I'd like to see what Griese can do, but that's still a roll of the dice.

Also, why doesn't anyone ever say anything about the offensive line...aren't they supposed to be protecting our quarterback, whoever he may be?

Sure, that's no excuse for the interceptions, but still...

Final Answer: Go Bulls!

mucifer / October 1, 2007 10:28 AM

can we please talk about fashion or the weather or something else that is boring but not useless?

Spook / October 1, 2007 11:00 AM

o.k I'm gonna assume that one of them plays for the Bears?

skafiend / October 1, 2007 11:07 AM

Confining my comments to Grossman or Greise, I'd have to say Greise, even after only one game. Showed more poise and confidence after not playing for a bazillion games. Sure he threw 3 INTs' but two of those were in the receiver's hands first. And he actually marched the team downfield in a sustained drive, something I haven't see Rex The Wonder Dog do. Give him at least three games before we start burning him in effigy in Grant Park. Grossman has talent but boy was he shellshocked. Didn't you see him laughing on the sidelines like he didn't have a care in the world? He's so happy to be out of the crosshairs he's giddy.

Thanks for tuning in another edition of "Sports Chat". Stay tuned for Orion Samuelson and the farm report...

Q: How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Let's go ride bikes!

Stephen / October 1, 2007 11:15 AM

Neither is the better quarterback. It's Orton.

p / October 1, 2007 11:22 AM

met former bear qb bob avellini one time and he told me that his arm was so strong he could throw a football through a man's chest. "that's pretty strong bob." One time bob threw a golf club through the window of McGee's (?) after his dog was denied entry to the bar.

Spook / October 1, 2007 11:46 AM

So they both play for the bears right?

steven / October 1, 2007 12:09 PM

bears?

go cubs!

steven / October 1, 2007 12:13 PM

actually, they both throw interceptions and the receivers drop throws no matter who they're coming from and the line doesnt protect anyone and the defense is hurt and it wouldve been a blowout yesterday had it not been for hester and his runback for a touchdown. so, no matter who is QBing, this team is pret-ty pret-ty pret-ty bad.

i say put grossman back in. he had his week off to feel bad and clear his head.

eh, what the hell do i care. go cubs!

skafiend / October 1, 2007 12:32 PM

did the golf club go through a man's chest first before going through a window? ... cause that would have been SWEET!

but seriously, I heard ol' Bob was a raging drunk, which is kind of redundant when talking about old Bears QBs...

Eamon / October 1, 2007 3:13 PM

RobJ: damn you for even mentioning the S-word. Let us never speak his name again, lest we be revisted by the Ghost of a Thousand Screen Passes.

Spook / October 1, 2007 3:14 PM

I wish RedMoon still did that big freaky festival in Logan Square

Allan / October 1, 2007 3:34 PM

This topic blows.

Benjy / October 1, 2007 6:30 PM

Where's Henry Burris these days?

Hester Urlacher / October 1, 2007 6:41 PM

We should whittle the team down to Devin Hester, Brian Urlacher, and Robbie Gould. Those three can get the job done.
