Probably something involving a test...SAT, ACT or something like that. I remember taknig the ACT and being so frustrated because they drummed it into our heads that this will decide our whole future or something (which was bullshit). So yeah, I could see me having to do that over and over until I got it right. Which would be hell.

Every time I broke up with someone or got broken up with.
What I have to 'get right' is that all-day June picnic where I cook everything from scratch.
For breakfast, Denver omelettes, hash browns and Bloody Marys. For lunch, Reuben sandwiches, homemade steak fries and sangria or lemonade. For dinner, cheeseburgers and macaroni salad with home-brewed beer or homemade Orange soda.
A perfect 10 pm nitecap to finish the day should be a round of proper martinis.
It's the day before a 15 page paper is due and I've done little or no work on it. However, if I were to put in 10 or 12 hours of reasonable work, I could put together a decent product, get a good night's sleep, proofread it and turn it in the next day. Instead, I waste the day playing Tetris, napping and watching TV so bad it wouldn't interest me if I didn't have this paper hanging over my head. I'm forced to wake up at 6:30 the next day and throw together the kind of paper that earned me some pretty bad grades during my academic career.

By Groundhog Day here, we mean the movie in which a weatherman has to repeat Groundhog Day over and over again until he gets it "right" and gets the girl. While your groundhog day doesn't have to end with you getting the girl or guy, it should be a day that sucked royally that eventually turns into a success.
My groundhog day would probably be one back when I still did PR. I had to shoot photos of a Lincoln impersonator appearing at a North Shore school for a banking client. I grabbed what I thought was a fresh roll of black and white film and shot a bunch of pictures of this very lame event I had to attend with a senior colleague I didn't get along with, and the smarmy client insisted I take pictures of his kids with Abe.
When I got back to the office downtown, I couldn't find anywhere that would develop the film quickly -- which got my coworker mad at me for not using color. Finally found a place that would process the roll same day, and when I got the shots back it turned out I used a roll that had already been shot, so all the photos were double-exposed and unusable. So my coworker was now livid, the client was upset because he didn't get photos of his kids, and we wasted a half day in the burbs because we couldn't send the photos to a newspaper for press. Probably my worst day at work ever.
