That's an easy one, Chocolate Chip Cookies and any kind of Chocolate Ice Creams Sundae. I have one of those just about every day.

Tobermory / June 11, 2007 9:56 AM

Deed fried cheese curds or battered/deep fried dill pickle chips. Yum. In reality, if you can batter it and deep fry it I'll probably eat it.

Carrie / June 11, 2007 9:59 AM

Big burrito at 2am with everything on it.

Party size pizza a couple/few times a month, shared with 2 other girls. We eat it ALL. Leftovers are not an option. We also like french fries with it. YUM

TaJ / June 11, 2007 10:06 AM

Probably the breakfast sandwich I eat almost every day.

The bourbon and coke I drink at every opportunity is actually good for me. I have the scientific evidence...

Printdude...

Get the f*ck outta here!

I'm a Pringleshead too! I could eat several sleeves in one sitting.

And, yes, Sliders. I have regretted eating them every single time the next morning. But I'm trying to limit myself to either chicken or fish, which don't do nearly the amount of damage to my gastrointestinal system as the burgers do.

moody / June 11, 2007 12:06 PM

anything containing chocolate and coffee

eric / June 11, 2007 12:11 PM

aP / June 11, 2007 12:53 PM

Funyuns!

Deep fried cheese sticks!

and since yesterday - K Cider!

Sol / June 11, 2007 1:00 PM

I can't believe I forgot that damn Mexicana milkshake from Medici's. It's crack in a damn glass, I swear. And the homemade whip cream doesn't help.

Shasta / June 11, 2007 1:03 PM

Homemade grapenut ice cream
Steak
Pizza
Hot wings
French fries
Garlic mashed potatoes with cream, sour cream, and chives
Beef stroganoff made with heavy cream and congac
Mom's cheesy potatoes with that nummy corn flake topping
Pumpkin cheesecake
Dutch apple cheesecake
Jamaican rum punch
mini cheeseburgers

Olive / June 11, 2007 1:17 PM

Chicago style hot dogs
In and Out Burger, animal style
chili cheese fries
Korean instant noodles
Black Cherry Vanilla Coke - mmmm
Dr. Pepper
Carnitas tacos at Los Comales in Pilsen
Johnny Rockets or Potbelly's strawberry milk shake
any kind of cream of whatever casserole

Olive / June 11, 2007 1:20 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot -
onion rings
Auntie Anne's almond pretzels - they are a whopping 400-500 calories each (I checked on the website)

Sol / June 11, 2007 1:26 PM

What's grapenut ice cream? Like with the cereal? Because that sounds awesome.

Mo / June 11, 2007 1:30 PM

Pizza- I can eat an entire pizza in one sitting if no one is around to shame me.

Cheese fries-not the squeeze liquid cheese, but actual melted shredded cheddar, preferably with some bacon, chives, and sour cream or ranch dressing.

Coke-but that's more of an addiction than an indulgence. If I go more than a day without a soda of some kind, I feel weird and needy. It's something about the carbonation.

Mo / June 11, 2007 1:32 PM

Oh, and Eastern NC style BBQ, with slaw and hushpuppies on the side. I dream of it sometimes. Reminds me of home

Leelah / June 11, 2007 1:39 PM

Since I'm going there next week, I'll stick to my favorite junk from England: bizarre flavored crisps (buffalo, prawn cocktail, ketchup... all vegetarian!), Cadbury chocolate (Curly Wurlies!), chips with vinegar.

k / June 11, 2007 1:51 PM

Fucking Hint of Lime chips. I would sell my firstborn for a bag, given a certain set of circumstances.

kiki / June 11, 2007 2:16 PM

those hostess cupcakes with the white swirley things on top. mmm...that cream filling...

Shasta / June 11, 2007 2:38 PM

Here's a "quick and dirty" version of grapenut ice cream I had made. To be honest, this is the kind that's made more often in my house because it's so easy to keep most of the ingredients on hand.

pat / June 11, 2007 2:58 PM

Deep fried goodness:

The Chicago-only Pizza Puff - what's not to love about a mix of tomato/meat sauce and cheeze, wrapped in filo dough, and deep fried.

bonus 10 points if you get a corndog with it as well.

sky / June 11, 2007 3:22 PM

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I can eat a family sized box on my own. Love it.

Any type of cheese really. I love the chili con queso at Uncle Julios.

Tater Tots.

Reubens.

Strawberry Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce.

Any cream based soup.

I'm currently doing the atkins thing now which is hell for me because everything I love in this world is carb driven.

Emerson Dameron / June 11, 2007 3:34 PM

Beer. That, and anything potato-related: chips, fries, wedges... Give me potato-flavored beer, and I'd never leave the house.

Allan / June 11, 2007 3:56 PM

Popeyes fired chicken, but I have not been able to afford it in what seems like forever. I eat Ramen noodles almost everyday but I don't consider the junk food as they are my main staple. I did find a bag on Addison with three bottles of what looked to my untrained eyes like expensive wine. and drank them all in a day and a half and felt pretty guilty about it. I also love white castles but only in memory because now they taste like shit and fuck up my intestines. How can they sell that shit.

carrie / June 11, 2007 4:11 PM

Sky, I was just going to mention Tater Tots. Holy god yum, how could I forget about them. Thankfully, I have my "I heart *pile of tater tots*" magnet at my desk to remind me.

fluffy / June 11, 2007 4:24 PM

Arby's 5 for $5.95! 4 Cheddar Melts and an order of Potato Cakes.

angie / June 12, 2007 8:43 AM

Whole Foods sells these peanut butter rice krispies treats. I try to limit it to once every 1-2 weeks.

Tobermory / June 12, 2007 9:04 AM

Skafiend! Yes, yes, YES! To sliders. How could I have forgotten them? Some of my most favorite college memories are late night runs to the Addison White Castle. I love a double cheeseburger with extra pickles. I also agree that once eaten they are almost instantly regretted - both in guilt over eaten something so patently bad for oneself and also digestively. 'Nuff said about the last regret.

Dave / June 12, 2007 9:44 AM

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Peanut Butter Soy Shake. Yum.

sky / June 12, 2007 9:56 AM

I totally forgot curly fries with cheese and Ben & Jerry's Phish Food Ice cream. Marshmellow swirls with tiny chocolate fish swimming through? Are you kidding me? Bring it.

Steve / June 12, 2007 10:43 AM

Lately, it's steak. Especially inch-thick ribeyes with Montreal seasoning cooked up just past rare on the Weber kettle.

Eric / June 12, 2007 10:52 AM

heh. A conflating factor here is that when a dude is in a relationship, especially a new one, his ego's grown and he's flush with libido. He wants to sow his oats s'more.

Eric / June 12, 2007 10:55 AM

Or so I've heard.

Brian / June 12, 2007 11:28 AM

In the “heart attack waiting to happen” category, I did like the deep fried twinkie at Swank Frank's in Wicker Park. Guess I'll have to wait until they open up again. Or have they?

ABF / June 12, 2007 12:53 PM

Sweet: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures - even better if kept in the fridge and slightly chilled

Salty: Cape Cod Sea Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips - I can only get these once in a great while because I always devour the bag in one sitting, regardless if my mouth starts to feel torn up and raw

Spicy: Tod Mun Pla from most any Thai place - doesn't mater how stuffed I was, I'd manage to eat a full order and still want more

skafiend / June 12, 2007 12:56 PM

those little mini toasted cocoanut covered donuts...

basic hot dogs. Not the fancy gourmet kind(Hot Doug's, etc.), I mean the basic ass hot dog. the kind they sell at Sox Park on Dollar Dog night, with the rat hair and rodent excrement, etc. I love those things....

any of the Puerto Rican food sold at those carts in Humbolds Park. You can literally wring out the grease in anything you order, but it's f*cking good

Honey Buns

fig newtons. I heard they're supposed to be good for you because of the fruit/fig, but when I hit the 15 or 20 mark, I think the health benefits start to decline.

JB / June 12, 2007 2:02 PM

gin

forget the tonic, forget the juice and you can keep your danged vitamin C-loaded limes. just give me cheap-ass, turpentine-infused gallon jugs of gin.

whew. it's a good thing i'm off the stuff.

peanut / June 12, 2007 2:44 PM

veggie bite. soy shakes at earwax. greasy noodles. "red beans & rice" chips. any and all starch. ice cream made from pure, unadulterated, fatty coconut milk. and don't blame me for drinking diet coke, the stuff's loaded with mind control ingredients.

Steve / June 12, 2007 3:05 PM

White Sox baseball.

It hurts my eyes and ears and brain, and it's breaking my heart.

emyduck / June 12, 2007 3:11 PM

creme brulee.

gin.

skafiend / June 12, 2007 4:18 PM

Peanut....

veggie bites and soy shakes are guilty pleasure junk food????

Perhaps... IN BIZARRO WORLD

but I guess if you eat and drink enough of them....

Hal / June 12, 2007 4:30 PM

Lemonberry Sherbert is my current sweet one (lemon sherbert with raspberry swirls).

Sour Cream and Cheddar flavor Baked Lays.

Pizza - we've made the switch from delivery to frozen for the $, but sometimes, you realize, cheezy goodness is just right there in my freezer and it's not like I'm spending a lot of money.

Samosas and Pakoras

Dunno what they're called and can't find them on the Goya website, but they have this amazing frozen thing you can find at Jewel. It's a lightly fried mashed potato ball (so, a little crispy on the outside), filled with seasoned ground beef. Had them in Florida once, so I assume they're Cuban. My god, they're good.

n / June 12, 2007 5:03 PM

diet coke...but does it count as an indulgence if it's become part of my daily diet?

...donuts, cupcakes, muffins, scones
...milkshakes
...bbq fries

sky / June 12, 2007 5:05 PM

I keep thinking of things...

Crab Rangoon

Cheetos

Puppy Chow

Fettacini Alfredo with fresh parmasean grated on it....because...well, sometimes you just need more cheese.....

Cliff / June 12, 2007 5:24 PM

I forgot about Hot Doug's' Duck Frites. I could eat 'em 'til I puke...

Well, just about anything at Hot Doug's is a "bad for you endulgence", but starchy tubers, fried in 400 degree Duck lard probably needs to be somewhere near the top 'o the list.

Brandy / June 12, 2007 5:32 PM

Thanks for the reminder of the tater tots in my freezer! I'm sitting in an airport right now, and will be doing as little as possible tomorrow. + eating tater tots. Mmmmm...
