I carry a single keychain that comes apart in two halves. The primary half has my condo key and key fob to access some common areas. The other half has my best friend's spare key, the storage room key and my mailbox key. When I want to travel extra light, such as for my morning run or in a really nice suit, I'll bring just the 1st half.
I carry my single car key separately, not on a ring.
on my keycard from work i have 2, and my regular keychain has 9 keys and 7 key rings... i should consolidate, but i like having them all "separate" for the separate places i need them.
Work badge has 2 keys. Just moved so I consolidated my other key ring 2 just 4 keys. I also have a ring of keys that I don't know what they're for as well as a key ring for my bike locks. Boyfriend made my apt door key a Sox key so I wouldn't get confused.
I have never had so many keys in my life. 2 gate keys, 3 door keys to my apartment, 1 mail key and 1 car key. I only have one key chain but have all my keys strategically grouped in case I need to take a set off, i.e. valet.
12 keys. Six of which I do not know what they are for.
2.
car key.
apt key.
1. house key
2. work key
I keep them both on this K recs keychain that I like. I hate carrying excess keys so if I need to get into a gate or a garage or somewhere, someone else usually has it. Sometimes my work key looks like a self-defense weapon for night time walks back home.
i need only one, often carry two (front door and back gate), but my full keyring has eight.
5 keys: my car, his car, the house, the garage, and the in-law's house. One keyless car remote, two rabies tags from my old dogs' collars, and two novelty keychain fobs. The garbage on my keychain takes up more space than the keys themselves.
1. Vestibule/basement
2. Back gate
3. Apartment doorknob
4. Apartment deadbolt
5. Honda Civic
6. Kryptonite lock
7. Mailbox
8. Key to 'The Club' I just realized is still there even though I haven't used it since 1998 (now removed)
Sets of keys I keep at home:
A. Girlfriend's keys
B. Sister's keys
C. Neighbor's keys
D. Friend's keys (1)
E. Friend's keys (2)
One for each hat I wear. And then some.
Too many.
Ring #1 has 6: outside front door, inside front door, apartment door, garage, mailbox, parents' house.
Ring #2 has 1 for my car.
Ring #3 has 2 for work.
Ring #4 has 2: laptop cable lock, bike lock. Plus an old bottle opener.
All 4 rings live on a carabiner. This is actually a downgrade -- I've removed 6 or 7 in the last six months.
I have two different locks on my apartment door and carry keys for both of them, but I only actually use one of the locks.
I also have a key to the padlock on my storage locker in the basement, but I don't keep that on my keyring. It's on a ribbon hanging in the closet.
That's it.
I forgot the key to my bike lock! That one is just loose. I keep it in the pocket of one of my paniers when my bike isn't locked up. I guess I should put it on my keyring.
Two keys on a ring for work--a master that opens almost every door, and a key to my desk.
Building key, two door keys for my apartment, mailbox key on a separate ring.
My I-Go card is in my wallet. I used to not carry it unless I was getting the car, but I have discovered my favorite pizza joint and my favorite gourmet/wine shop both give discounts to I-Go users.
Much like mall [above], I have too many but they're all necessary. Two for my place [ring one], four for my friend's place [ring two], one for job #1, two for job #2 [ring three], and bike lock key, storage locker key, and two small luggage keys and a bottle opener [ring four] all on one carabiner. When I was working a third job, I had a fifth ring with three more. I surprised myself by keeping them all straight and can actually recognize them by feel.
Nine.
3 keys (house, car #1, mom's house)
2 fobs - one of which is also a key (car #2).
1 for my house, 2 for a neighbors house and garage.
Your friendly neighborhood locksmith can rekey your doors to make life easier with less keys.
My full size locking carabiner is a little overkill for 3 keys, but it doubles as a bottle opener, doorstop, hammer and in a pinch, a carabiner. Never know when you'll need to rappel.
Key chain 1: Car (key/fob), garage, gym card
Key chain 2: House, mailbox, parents' house (3), sister's house, office, bike lock, trade show booth, work fob
I use all the keys regularly, except the trade show booth - haven't used that in three years.
1 for each: Apartment, Bicycle, Car, office front door and office back door.
Man, I have 15 keys: Three different sets of office keys, the two keys for my building and house, a bike lock key and so on. It gets kinda old to carry them around, but I usually keep them in my bag.

Side question: Do you carry more than one keychain?
I have only one, with six keys on it. Seven if you count the keyless entry fob for my car.
