We'll be spending most of the weekend working on the garden. Our big project is building an herb spiral -- we'll see how that goes.

Leelah / May 21, 2008 1:20 PM

Interesting plans for the weekend - running the Soldier Field 10 mile race.

I don't have any family in the area, so I tend to miss out on the BBQs.

Carlotta / May 21, 2008 2:15 PM

The Stanley Cup Finals start Saturday evening, with the second game Monday evening.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Househunting. Getting ready for upcoming yard sale. Not that interesting, I guess.

kate / May 21, 2008 5:22 PM

I wouldn't call drinking outside interesting... but fun and relaxing, yes.

A variety of meats plus polenta and some veggies will be hittin' the grill. Boy howdy!

Val / May 21, 2008 6:43 PM

No Memorial Day is complete without the following:

Beer
BBQ
Being outside

I plan to involve all three....

And waitressing. Hopefully people are in good spirits and tip me well... ;)

Bratwursts, beer, and biking on LSD.

printdude / May 22, 2008 8:00 AM

I will be throwing EVERYTHING on the grill this weekend.
zucchini, pineapple, kabobs, chicken, steaks, asparagus, and shrimp.

With boat drinks and beer, it should be an awesome weekend.

m / May 22, 2008 9:39 AM

Stuffy / May 22, 2008 9:54 AM

I'm interested to see what the weather will be. All the weather reports I saw last night were different. But Sunday is supposed to be the nicest, which is great b/c we're in Bike the Drive, then I think we'll go see that smart house on museum campus and then it's either a Sox game or a BBQ in our backyard. Either way, cold beer will be consumed, probably lots of it.

David / May 22, 2008 10:49 AM

Detroit!!!! Who knows about food...

mikely / May 22, 2008 10:56 AM

I always ride down to Olive Park to reflect a little (http://www.mishalov.com/Olive.html).

carrie / May 22, 2008 11:26 AM

Welp, Saturday is one brother's graduation, so I'll be venturing to Rockford to hoot and holler when his name is called. Sunday is a cookout at a friends house. Guac and veggie burgers for me. Monday I have plans to clean out my closets, but in reality I'm sure I'll sleep and waste my day away.

joshua / May 22, 2008 12:49 PM

KC for a wedding. hello BBQ haven!
try grilling salmon on a cedar plank. the smoke cooks it to a point of ridiculous tenderness and flavor. just soak the plank first for 20 minutes or so.

vanessa / May 22, 2008 7:38 PM

I'm going to Phoenix to see some relatives. 90 degree weather? Perfect!

jj / May 23, 2008 11:22 AM

Indiana Dunes, maybe.

Jay / May 23, 2008 11:38 AM

With the price of beef going through the fuckin roof, looks like I'll be grilling: my boots, marinated newspapers, pigeon wings...

Or skip the BBQ and go food rioting. Who's coming with me??

Baldeesh / May 23, 2008 12:10 PM

In no particular order - cookout at Mom's, wash the cat, install the air conditioners, work on my latest bigass knitting project, spend time with sisters before the winds scatter them across the country!

David / May 23, 2008 1:41 PM

KANYE WEST!!!

I can't believe I'm the first person to say this...

Gemma / May 23, 2008 5:03 PM

Urban Golf!

jennifer / May 23, 2008 10:28 PM

hosting a pre-wedding reception tomorrow (which means I need to get the pimm's and lemonade sorted, as well as the deviled eggs). supporting people in a 1/2 marathon. friend's going away fete. packing of books. moving of them to my boyfriend's apt. celebrating the boy's 38th birthday.
