Starting around 1997, I used Lord of the Rings character names plus a two-digit number at the end for my network password at my former employer. Since they required a "new" password each month, I was up to "Frodo97" or something when I got laid off.

i had a friend that used to use the website for his password.
i.e. his hotmail account password was "hotmail", if he had bank one it would be "bankone", etc.
