I don't understand the question.

paul / May 26, 2009 9:42 AM

Plans include 4 weeks in Fiji, a stop in NZ for some skiing (Ruapehu then The Remarkables), and another 4 in Bali. Plans don't cost anything.

Real, actual booked itineraries include a trip east to NYC and Lake George and another up to WI, for a yearly pilgrimage to House on the Rock.

Alice / May 26, 2009 10:51 AM

Plans include Door County, WI and Santa Fe, NM -- both to visit family.

Wishlist includes day trips to Starved Rock, Indiana Dunes and Galena.

Baldeesh / May 26, 2009 10:52 AM

I think just a camping trip to Indiana Dunes this summer. I kind of used all 2 weeks of my vacation time back in January.

Next year should be more exciting.

Meems / May 26, 2009 11:13 AM

a wedding in West Lafeyette, IN
Sox v Brewers in Milwaukee
Phish show at Alpine
all in June and then I can relax

Carrie / May 26, 2009 11:24 AM

Possibly a combined 30th birthday party in Philadelphia/on the Shore in August and a wedding in September in Milwaukee. Nothing too terribly exciting. I really want to go to Mexico, but I think Philly/Shore will put a damper on that.

Andrew Huff / May 26, 2009 11:44 AM

Headed to NYC for a wedding in late June, and probably Columbus for a family visit sometime this summer. No other plans so far.

kate / May 26, 2009 1:22 PM

I just got back from a long weekend in San Francisco.

Wisconsin for June camping.

St. Louis for June wedding shower.

Downstate for July wedding.

Michigan for August wedding.

Suburbs for August wedding.

Chicago September wedding (no travel or hotel costs - yay!!).

Southern Illinois for October college friend reunion.

I'm officially "at that age" when the wedding monsoon hits.

David / May 26, 2009 1:37 PM

It's hard to say. I'll be in Detroit for a good part of the summer, but there are tentative plans for southwestern Ohio and San Francisco. I'm looking forward to everything.

charlie / May 26, 2009 1:39 PM

We were hoping to go camp on Cape Cod and eat bucket loads of creatures from the sea, but it looks more like a Northern Wisco camp-fest. All you can eat shitty fish fry is not the same.

printdude / May 26, 2009 3:07 PM

I'm going on a nightmare descent into drugs and booze.

I've heard rumors that it's not that bad.

Anon / May 26, 2009 4:32 PM

After I lay off three people later this week, I plan to drink heavily and then go back to work and do all of their jobs, plus my own. I don't foresee any time off (that includes weekends) in the immediate future.

Mike / May 26, 2009 5:21 PM

Galapagos, Argentina, and Brazil.

Paid for with funds from the IL Arts Council.

Yeah Socialism!

Mimi / May 26, 2009 7:31 PM

Anon, did you happen to "let me go" today? Fun times...

holden / May 27, 2009 8:48 AM

a fun visit back to chicago in late june for a conference at the U of C on teaching the global economy.
then back again in july for a wedding/fun vacation with my mom including ravinia/long grove/etc.
to dallas for a day or two with my brothers for our annual visit to our dad's.
minnesota to visit a friend and do some biking.
RAGBRAI for some fun biking craziness.
i'm saving up for a big fun trip NEXT summer. (hopefully croatia/bosnia/serbia)

Brandy / May 27, 2009 8:53 AM

Tomorrow, I'll be at Nigara Falls thanks to my partner presenting at a nearby conferece. Trip for family mid-July. Big fat road trip to Vermont/Montreal/Halifax that includes a conference for me, one for the partner and friend visit. Hopefully one or two trips connected to biz gigs.

Rarely go on a stand alone vacation, but take biz opportunities to add time and *see* where I'm working.

annie / May 27, 2009 10:10 AM

Have one trip planned to NYC for a friend's 40th and 4th of July celebration and that is it, which is what happened last year and I really hope there is another trip in sight b/c I NEED to get out of Chicago for a bit.

jen / May 27, 2009 11:06 AM

like every year, i'll be taking a nocation.

have a wedding back in cleveland in june, but i don't count going home for a few days as a "vacation". to me vacation means plane flight and relaxing somewhere, or a good road trip.

irisheyes1212 / May 27, 2009 11:07 AM

Well since my nov Ireland vacation has been pushed to next May :(...
I'm going to St. Louis for a girl's weekend, June 4-6

Going to Union Pier, MI for the 4th of July weekend (Those michigan.org commercials finally got to me!)

Something planned for August, but not sure yet. 4 day weekend in Austin TX or maybe Nashville.

eee / May 27, 2009 6:43 PM

I just got back from a vacation to my uncles' house in Palm Springs, so that blew my vacation wad right there.

Come June, I'm doing a quick weekend to my parents' house in Nowheresville, Michigan. This also includes a stop at the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Festival. If it can be swung for cheap, I'm going to try to see my sister in Rhode Island over the Fourth. But that's only if Southwest offers bargain basement ticket prices.

Andrew / May 27, 2009 9:23 PM

San Diego this weekend for a conference. Sister's suburban wedding two weeks later. Vermont later in June with the fiance to scout wedding sites. Western Illinois to research a music fest in July, and I need to find time in August for a research trip to Nashville (the funding for the full month fell through). Friends' suburban wedding in August. I hope to schedule some extra time around a conference in Mexico City this November, but until my wedding is finished and paid for next year, I don't foresee much in the way of 'vacation plans.'
