So many great songs. It's been a nice decade for music. Some of my favorites:

"Roscoe" — Midlake
"Fake Empire" — The National
"Cashout" — Fugazi
"Vivre Sans Temps Mort"—Double Dagger
"Good Friend"—Plants & Animals
"Abandoned Language"—Dalek

The end of the decade (00's) was last year.

@wackpuma Wait, series of ten don't end with "10" anymore?

M / December 8, 2010 7:44 AM

Jesus christ all, didn't we go through this 10 years ago? It's understood that the "2000s" decade started in 2000, and the "2010s" decade started in 2010. Just like the 80s started in 1980. And the 90s started in 1990.

This isn't the end of a decade, get over it and retitle the piece.

rita / December 8, 2010 7:47 AM

I do have to agree with Paul - series of 10s, decade ends in 2010. Duh.

wackpuma / December 8, 2010 7:59 AM

the 70's ended in 1979, the 80's ended in 1989, the 90's ended in 1999, etc. This is currently the 10's. We are finishing the first year of that decade. duh? :)

Andrew Huff / December 8, 2010 10:07 AM

I don't know why I made this about the last 10 years anyway. Since it's the end of this year, let's talk about the best songs of 2010. (Not here. In the other thread I just linked to.)
