No offense guys...but you said:

"When we first discussed launching a political blog, we felt strongly that it should reflect not one political viewpoint, but rather be a place to unify the political viewpoints and debates of all Chicagoans and Illinoisans."

You go on and say:

"We have Republicans, Democrats, conservatives, liberals, libertarians, leftists, and others lined up to contribute pieces. Our only rule is that they be related to state and local issues, and that they not be the same old talking points. Intellectual honesty is our first principle.."

Yet, on one of your first posts you show the "scariest house on the block" is the one with a bunch of McCain signs?

Way to "Unify"...or will we being seeing a "Zing" towards Obama to keep up the "intellectual honesty"? I mean, that IS your first principle.

Gimme a break...same old left thinking one sided Gapersblock...nice try though.

Rich, did you look closely at the photos? The title of this post was taken from the sign in the front yard. The photos were passed to us by a reader, and are not *our* opinion but that of a resident of Evanston. Their zing, not ours -- I'll add quotes to the title.

Please consider giving us more than one day to demonstrate our commitment to a wide range of perspectives.

It's now been 11 days since the carbon monoxide leak which sent over 80 Prussing Elementary School students and staff to the hospital. While officials from Chicago Public Schools have partially answered some questions, and CPS CEO Forrest Claypool has informed that he will be visiting the school to field more questions on Nov. 16, many parents remain irate at the CPS response to date. More...

Substance, Not Style, the Source of Rahm's Woes

By Ramsin Canon / 2 Comments

It's not surprising that some of Mayor Emanuel's sympathizers and supporters are confusing people's substantive disputes with the mayor as the effect of poor marketing on his part. It's exactly this insular worldview that has gotten the mayor in hot... More...
