Rahm Emanuel Tue Dec 28 2010

Rahm Emanuel's Website Hacked Used for Purpose Not Quite Intended For, Which is Significantly Less Interesting.

UPDATE 3:50pm: Jumped the gun. This is a user-generated page; the Emanuel campaign website allows supporters to create their own fundraising page to direct people to. The Obama campaign introduced this into mainstream on-line political campaigning. Apparently there was some failure of whatever monitoring system is in place. Sorry everybody.

As of 3:40pm today, this was up on Rahm Emanuel's mayoral website:

I'm don't like Rahm, but the childish prank above sums up the level of excitement for the de valle campaign.

Too bad del valle took the easy road instead of building coalitions against Daley's policies four years ago. It's hard to get fired up over another go-along- get-along politican, who still can't manage to stop himself from praising Boss Daley.

And the fact that
del Valle is kind of arrogant only adds more wind against the two matches his campaign has to spark some sort of a fire this winter.

p.s de Valle is spelled with a small d, but I bet they really know that.

Spook,

It's good that God appointed you the judge of the whole world of politics. The internet has a few thousand of those, right?

And, how were things in the City of Chicago before Daley decided not to run for re-election? It wasn't that long ago. Which credible citywide candidate spoke up against Daley's policies? And if you read the newspapers, you'd read that del Valle's criticized various excesses of the Daley years, including patronage.

Just a suggestion: try using punctuation in your comments. It would make them more readable.

Parents Still Steaming, but About More Than Just Boilers

By Phil Huckelberry / 2 Comments

It's now been 11 days since the carbon monoxide leak which sent over 80 Prussing Elementary School students and staff to the hospital. While officials from Chicago Public Schools have partially answered some questions, and CPS CEO Forrest Claypool has informed that he will be visiting the school to field more questions on Nov. 16, many parents remain irate at the CPS response to date. More...

Substance, Not Style, the Source of Rahm's Woes

By Ramsin Canon / 2 Comments

It's not surprising that some of Mayor Emanuel's sympathizers and supporters are confusing people's substantive disputes with the mayor as the effect of poor marketing on his part. It's exactly this insular worldview that has gotten the mayor in hot... More...
