Remember When I Wrote About Banning Ice Cream Trucks?

In an old post here from a little over two years ago? 18th Ward Ald. Lona Lane wanted to ban ice cream trucks back then because she believed that one ice cream truck she observed had been involved in a drug transaction. No evidence except that she saw something changed hands.

It seems someone else hasn't forgotten that. They've set up a website at Of course that ice cream truck ban was one of at least four issues that is juxtaposed with badly cropped pictures of Ald. Lane. I almost wonder who set this place up.

It's creative, so my props to whoever created this site. Unfortunately I'm not certain how I found it.

The intention of the Alderman was not to ban all Ice Cream Trucks, but to get them regulated. I live in the 18th Ward and I also witnessed (along with my neighbors on my block) what seemed to be a transaction of not ice cream but of another nature.
