If Illinois Lt. Governor Pat Quinn has his way, every 7th grader in public schools in the state will get a free laptop computer in a new program called I-Connect. They'll need around 170,000 computers and $50 million to make this happen, so not surprisingly, there's some resistance forming about where to get the money and how to dole out the computers.
