Liberia's first female president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, will be in town this week thanks to an invitation to appear on Oprah (which, no doubt, will touch on the significance of her leadership and the growth of the fragile democracy in Liberia). The city's Liberian Consolate is planning several events in honor of this special guest, including a special Q&A celebration-reception at the DuSable Museum.
