Dead Show

Each artist in the Dead Show presents their interpretation of their own funeral, casket, service or eulogy. Artists include Eric Medine, Dave Pearson, Tom Waters, Ralph Barton, Dan Layne and E.K. Buckley. Opens tonight 6-10pm at Drive-Thru Studios, 626 W. 18th St., and runs through the end of the month.

Artisans 21: 25th Anniversary

Artisans 21 Gallery, one of the coutry's oldest artist-run co-op galleries, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a gallery opening from 6-9pm, showcasing the works of its 23 members. Free. 5225 S. Harper Ave. (Hyde Park). Call 773/288-7450 for more information.

NEIU Coming Out Ball

Northeastern Illinois University is hosting its annual Coming Out Ball and fundraiser. If you're a student of the university you get in free, if you aren't you'll have to pay $8. All money raised will be given to the Lesbian Community Cancer Project and the Testing Positive Awareness Network. It will begin tonight at 8 pm at Alumni Hall, located at 5500 North Saint Louis Avenue. This is an alcohol free event, but there will be music by Emberswift, DJ Michael and there will be a silent auction.
