Bruce Haack doc @ Siskel Film Center

Bruce Haack: The King of Techno documents the life and times of musician Bruce Haack, who made some truly inspired music during his lifetime. His discography contains some really amazing children's records that he recorded with teacher Esther Nelson. Haack built his own instruments and enjoyed demonstrating them to appreciative audiences. Prime Shorts

Prime Shorts, a bimonthly viewing of short films, returns to The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, tonight at 8:30pm after storming the Gene Siskel Theater last month for its Best of 2003 show. Ten films are featured this month, including a music video for Tortoise; the Kevin O'Donnell Revue also performs. More info here. 21 and over, $5 suggested donation.
