Hemingway Reading Discussion Group

The Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park hosts a reading group that focuses exclusively on the works of Hemingway. The group is free and open to new members and usually meets the first and third Mondays of each month, but check the calendar for exact dates. Tonight the group will be discussing "Ernest Hemingway: Selected Letters, 1917-1961", pages 541 - 625. The fun starts at 7:30pm at the Hemingway Museum located at 200 N. Oak Park Avenue.

Free bowling @ Marigold Bowl

After over 60 years, the Marigold Bowl is closing up at the end of the month. To celebrate the end of the bowling, they're offering free bowling tonight. The free bowl runs from 6:00 to 10:00. Equal Marriage Now! Rally

Equal Marriage Now sponsors another rally in support of same-sex marriage in Cook County, on the day that Massachusetts begins issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The rally takes place at noon today in front of the Cook County marriage license bureau at 118 N. Clark, across from Daley Plaza.
