The Alley and Milio’s Hair Salon present the “Stitch and Sew Indie Fashion Show” tonight from 7pm to midnight at the Alley, 3228 N. Clark. Covers for Cover Benefiting Deborah's Place @ Empty Bottle

"Covers for Cover" is an evening of rocking female cover bands benefiting Deborah's Place at the Empty Bottle tonight. Deborah's Place, an organization that helps homeless women, deserves your money, and you can give thanks by doing just that, plus get a bonus dose of ear candy with the following lineup, which include members of punk circus band, Mucca Pazza, the Asian American pop trio, Kim, and WLUW DJs.:
Rah! Rah! Replica slay Bikini Kill, Blitzkrieg Bopz kick The Ramones, Ragazza Pazza rocks punk, Girls on Film loves Duran Duran, Manatella kisses Flaming Lips, Broad Tosser rips The Sonics, with special appearances by roller derby queens Chi*Town Sirens. The evening will be hosted by Rattina, puppet co-host of Chic-A-Go-Go. Music starts at 10pm, and it's just $10 ($8 if you bring new toiletries to donate).

Trunk Show @ Cultural Center

Vomitorium with AgitProp @ 40000

Make this Thanksgiving weekend into a Roman holiday as the gallery 40000 presents Vomitorium With AgitProp, a one-night-only art opening and party curated by Chicago multimedia artist Philip von Zweck. Featuring contributions from over a dozen local artists (and a few out-of-towners), the event reportedly will feature artworks that address "the excesses that define and destroy contemporary American culture."
