The Tall Grass Writer's Guild is a local literary community that hosts monthly open mic and featured reader events and maintains a Performance Ensemble that present original selections at libraries and school. The Neo-Futurists present the final weekend of their current prime time show, Drag. Featuring five performers discussing their personal experiences with dressing and/or acting as people of the opposite sex, Drag runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM at the Neo-Futurarium (5153 N. The Gene Siskel Film Center begins a month-long film noir festival with a restored 35mm print of the 1951 film The Enforcer with Humphrey Bogart and Zero Mostel. Greg Gillam's stereo, a KLH Model 24, is 40 years old and still has its original paper cone speakers. Come to Ronny's, 2101 N. California, tonight between 7pm and midnight and help celebrate the stereo's big 4-0 with a musical potluck -- bring records (16, 45, 33-1/3 and 78), tapes, CDs and mp3s (sorry, no eight-tracks) to play.
