The Last Steve Lacy Exhibition @ VONZWECK

The bafflingly amorphous local art collective Academy Records is an ellusive and intriguing entity on the Chicago art scene. Multi-disciplinary in output, the group is a collaborative project involving dozens of artists that manifests itself in an unpredictable, cryptic (and sometimes silly) series of public works and performances. Tonight sees the presentation of the solo work of one of the group's members, Stephen Lacy. Officially titled "Legendary Fountain/Leave the Country (everyone knows this is nowhere)," the exhibition is reportedly a "farewell" showing of the artist's prior work -- a parting shot before Steve surrenders his identity to the AR collective persona. At VONZWECK, 6-9pm. 1626 N. Humboldt Bvld.
