Everybody's favorite restaurant review program Check, Please! returns for a new season of reviews by plain old folks. Tune into Channel 11, WTTW, tonight at 8:00 PM.

Approach @ Ai Gallery

The opening reception for Ai Gallery's new exhibit, "Approach," will be run from 6:00-10:00 PM. The exhibit is curated by Research & Development and includes manipulated objects by JB Daniel as well as collaborations by Industry of the Ordinary. Winter Bike to Work Day

Like it's sibling in the summer, the Winter edition of Bike to Work Day coming up features hot beverages and goodies at Daley Plaza today from 7 to 9am. The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation hosts activities, a raffle with prizes and the chance to congregate and meet up with your fellow cyclists.

Daedelus, Atomly and Plus Device @ Sonotheque

As part of the electronic music series Your Formula Life, Sonotheque presents a solid billing tonight, courtesy of an event co-sponsored by Chicago's own HEFTY Records. Chicago Indymedia Fundraiser with CIRCA

Chicago Indymedia is holding a fundraiser tonight from 7pm to 10:30pm at Acme Artworks Community, 2418 W. Bloomingdale. The Clandestine Insurgent

(CIRCA) is the special guest for the evening, and will be showing films of their escapades (such as shutting down an army recruitment center in Leeds and blocking highways at the G8 in Scotland), along with updates on the situation in Oaxaca and an episode of Chicago Indymedia's nationally-broadcast TV series, Chicago
Independent Television. Food and drink will be served. Suggested donation is $10, or pay what you can. More info here.
