The Music Box presents the third annual Animation Show, a program of short animated films. The most interesting film in the program will probably be Everything Will Be OK, the latest work by Oscar-nominated director Don Hertzfeldt. Opening February 9 is Redmoon's latest show, Once Upon a Time, an original tale of friendship, villainy, dreams, and heroism presented in an elaborately crafted toy theater. Created and directed by Redmoon Associate Artistic Director, Frank Maugeri, and written by Joe Meno, Once Upon a Time is an original tale that champions courage, leadership, and the possibility that song gives meaning to life. What about a pulp musical about female inmates? "Caged Dames" tells the gripping tale of an innocent young woman who finds herself at the hands of a sadistic, oyster-loving Matron. "Highly Recommended," says the Reader and "If you miss Caged Dames it’ll be a crime!" says Gay Chicago.
