Fried Chicken Throwdown @ West Town Tavern
Fried chicken expert John T. Edge from the University of Mississippi will be on hand to lead a three course dinner (each cousre featuring fried chicken) with wine pairings from Garretson Winery. "Fried chicken lore" and two short films featuring famous fried chicken restaurants of the South are also on tap for the evening. The dinner starts at 6 pm and costs $75 per person. The restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Southern Foodways Alliance. Check out West Town Tavern's events page for more information.
Betty Dodson @ Early to Bed
Betty Dodson, author of such books as Sex for One and Orgasms for Two, comes to Early to Bed to show slides of her sex art and discuss her sex life at the time the art was created. Dodson is an erotic artist, feminist activist, public advocate as well as author and sex educator. Reservations are required for this event; general admission tickets are $15, $10 for students.
