Patricia Wells Book Signing @ Fox & Obel
Patricia Wells, celebrated cookbook author and teacher, will be signing copies of her new book, Vegetable Harvest: Vegetables at the Center of the Plate. The signing will take place from 11am-1pm at Fox & Obel at 401 E. Illinois.
Smartmouth Queer Spoken Word @ HotHouse
Smartmouth, a new multi-media, multi-gendered queer performance event focusing on words and text, debuts tonight at HotHouse, 31 E. Balbo. JT Newman of Dyke Mic and the Girlie-Q Variety Hour hosts. The line-up includes: Kathryn Bergquist, Richard Fox, Anne Elizabeth Moore, Marian Runk, Elena Jimenez, Brian Kirst, Don Bapst, Rebecca Grady, Sarah Haas, Sam and PJ, Michelle Renae and Jack Slowriver. Dalai Lama @ Millenium Park
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be teaching at the Harris Theater in Millenium Park (205 E. Randolph) as he makes his first appearance in Chicago since 1999. The teaching will be in two sesssions which begin at 9:30AM and 1:00PM respectively.

In Fine Spirits will present Andersonville's first Wine Walk this afternoon from 2 to 5 pm. The event will feature tastings of more than 40 wines, and a specially printed wine glass will be given to each participant for sipping at various Andersonville shops and restaurants.
