Pilsen To Pilsen Fest

Pilsen To Pilsen Fest is not some sort of attempt by UIC to throw a party while they convert more land into local yuppie housing, it is in fact a look back at the area's rich history.  Events take place at Polvo, Busker, Czechoslovak Heritage Museum and includes movies, interactive media, discussion and music. From 10 am - 9pm.  All events are free.

Walking w/Women through Chicago History @ W&CF

Women & Children First welcomes feminist historian Jean Spaay Hunt as she discusses her latest book, Walking with Women through Chicago History II: Three Loop Tours. The book follows the city's first public school teacher, avant-garde painters, radio actors, social activists and labor organizers.
