Come check out the How We Move Workshop w/ Meredith Haggerty and Lavie Raven. The workshop leaders have been brought together by the University of Hip Hop, which has been doing movement education in the city for over 15 years. The event is part of a series of workshops about education and the city at the Hyde Park Art Center, 5020 S. Cornell Ave. It will start promptly at 11am and is open to the public. The Chicago Park District presents Movies in the Park, a summer-long screening of classic and contemporary films in Chicago parks. Tonight's screenings: E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial (PG) at Norwood Park (5801 N. Natoma Ave.); and Happy Feet (PG) at Touhy Park (7348 N. Paulina St.). The Old Town School of Folk Music presents a concert to celebrate the release of Volumes 2 and 3 of the The Old Town School of Folk Music Songbook, their series of recorded versions of songs taken from the school's historic songbook that students learn from when they take classes at the school. The concert happens tonight at 8:00 PM at the concert hall in the school building at 4544 N. Lincoln Avenue. Tickets are $12, $10 for OTS members. Pilsen's most exciting new venue for experimental music, The Flower Shop (2159 W. 21st Place [at Leavitt]) offers up drone, noise, and electronic jams for folks with fishbowls for ears and ears for hearts. From St. Louis, Worm Hands and Mike Pitts will weird you out just by BEING; Haunted Castle (from Michigan) shall team up with Illinois newcomer Treetops will go toe to toe in the squared circle that is collaborative performance; and Chicago's own Druids of Huge will be on hand to raise bodies 3.5 inches above the concrete floor. 9 p.m., $5
