The Chicago Park District presents Movies in the Park, a summer-long screening of classic and contemporary films in Chicago parks. Tonight's screening: Dreamgirls ( PG-13) at Blackwelder Park (11500 S. Homewood Ave.). The screening starts tonight at dusk, and is free and open to the public. The Logan Square Farmers Market takes place every Sunday until October 28. The market is held at the corner of Logan, Milwaukee and Kedzie from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Banco Popular Chicago Half Marathon takes place today, which means that Lakeshore Drive will be closed from Bronzeville to East 67th Street for the duration of the race. Coupled with the Boulevard Lakefront Tour, which will run south on the Lakefront path at the same time, this is going to be a crazy day for the fitness set (and the people who cheer them on).
Lincoln Square hosts its 87th(!) annual German American Fest this weekend at corner of Lincoln and Leland Aves. As if you needed an excuse to drink lots of beer and eat loads of brats.
The Von Steuben Parade will start on Saturday at 2 p.m. and will go down Lincoln Ave between Irving Park and Lawrence.

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation will be hosting their 19th annual Boulevard Lakefront Tour, which leads riders through 15-, 35- or 62-mile courses over several Chicago neighborhoods (with established rest stations). The picnic at the end of the route will give you a good opportunity to relax and high-five everyone you see, because you've accomplished something totally awesome. And everyone likes a high-five.
