Estrojam 2007

The Estrojam Music and Culture Festival celebrates its fifth year with six days of music, art, workshops, and film at various locations around the city. The festival wraps up with two shows tonight: a coffeehouse set at Uncommon Ground (with Julie Lloyd, Karie Lyden, Kate Rickenbacher, and Kay Barrett) at 6:00, and a kick-out-the-jams bash at the Metro (with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, the Noisettes, Suffrajett, DJ Mother Hubbard, and Bettye LaVette) starting at 9:00. Ian's Dog and Pony Show

Comedian and solo performer Ian Belknap will write and perform a new comedy show each night of this Rhinoceros Theater Festival event. And he'll have a fresh crop of guest stars each night to help him make the funny using sketch, improv, monologue, and stand-up -- whatever it takes to make you laugh, man. Tonight at 9:00: Jim Carrane (Studio 312), Jonathan Messinger (The Dollar Store), Jay Torrence (Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind), and Sirens, the city's all-lady sketch troupe. Movies in the Park: Arthur & The Invisibles

The Chicago Park District presents Movies in the Park, a summer-long screening of classic and contemporary films in Chicago parks. Tonight's screening: Arthur & The Invisibles (PG) at Unity Playlot Park (2636 N. Kimball Ave.). The screening starts tonight at dusk, and is free and open to the public. Eat Well For Less @ Truman College

Humans: The Cooking Ape @ Field Museum

Work Out @ Millennium Park
