Come to Sheffield's tonight to meet smarty, geeky singles at Dating for Nerds, where there will be board games and trivia quizzes to break the ice. May or May Not Practice Space Residency @ Schubas
Local indie-pop group May Or May Not celebrates the release of its sophomore full-length, A Kaleidoscope Of Egos, with a month-long residency at Schubas. The band promises to pull out all the stops during these shows, while previewing material from Egos -- which runs the gamut from New Pornographers-inspired indie-rock to the psychedelic pop of Panda Bear's Person Pitch. Charlemagne and Atlantic Divide open the show. $6. 9pm.
Dignity Waits
Dignity Waits, the solo show by Jamie Buell, winner of the first season of the acclaimed Impress These Apes contest earlier this year, will be performed tonight at 8:00 p.m. at the the Playground Theater, 3208 N. Halsted Street, and will be running each Monday through October 1.
