Touring on the attention being awarded to their excellent sophmore LP, The Modern Tribe, 4AD recording artists Celebration are playing the Bottle tonight. The Music Box Theatre (3733 N Southport Ave) will be hosting a midnight showing of Pink Floyd’s The Wall November 23 and 24. Based on the best selling album by Pink Floyd, the cult classic combines animation and live action in to create a maddeningly often misunderstood film. Peter Cunningham, founder of the Bread and Butter Forum at Second City, will perform with his old garage band at Weeds, 1555 N. Dayton, Friday, Nov. 23 "around 9:30 p.m." According to the band: "Real cutting edge stuff -- blues, country, Dylan, Stones, a few originals."
Tripped out soulsters Celebration come to town for a post-Thanksgiving show with local favs Aleks and the Drummer. Kill Me Tomorrow plays as well. $8 with a 10 p.m. start time.
