Contemporary Southern artist Dolan Geiman will have his artwork shown at Sacred Art, the Roscoe Village art store that featured handmade artwork by local artists. American Apartheid: Tracing the Art, Science and Ethics of Medical Racism @ Columbia College

Ms. Harriet Washington, Visiting Scholar/DePaul University, medical ethicist and author of Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present, will present a lecture on "American Apartheid: Tracing the Art, Science and Ethics of Medical Racism". Residents' Journal Web Site Launch @ Palette and Chisel Gallery

Residents' Journal, a quarterly news magazine written for and by Chicago public housing residents and other low-income citizens, is relaunching its Web site. CONTRAPTION Pay-What-You-Can Night @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists' latest show, CONTRAPTION by Bilal Dardai, examines the intersection between innovation and insanity and asks, "If necessity is the mother of invention, is madness the wayward father?" Dardai says, "Contraption is what I imagine it would look like if Groucho, Chico, and Harpo took over Edison's Workshop and used the gadgets within the workshop to drive Zeppo completely out of his mind." Pink Floyd: The Wall Screening @ Columbia College

In promotion of the newest book of a pop culture series out on Open Court books, Pink Floyd and Philosophy, there will be a free screening of The Wall at Columbia College from 6:30 to 10 PM. Guests include three members of the Columbia faculty that authored chapters of the book and its editor, Northwestern professor of philosophy, George Reisch. The movie will be screened on 35 mm film which should promise unbelievable sights and sounds beyond the normal awe of The Wall. Columbia animation faculty member Ron Fleischer will also present some of the original artwork from the movie. It'll be shown at the Columbia Film Row Cinema, 1104 S. Wabash, 8th Floor.

World Kitchen Learning Series: Gong Hay Fat Choy
