Tequila lovers on LTH Forum are organizing a small (15-20 people max) tequila tasting tonight at 6pm at the headquarters of Fig Catering, located at 1850 S. Blue Island Ave. (between Ashland and Racine). You have to bring a nice bottle of tequila ($30-50) to get in the door; RSVP through the thread.

Full Circle Danztheatre Festival @ Hamlin Park Fieldhouse Theater

Nine companies and artists interpret this year's festival theme, Milestones. Kate McIlvain, Shabam! Productions, The Core Project, Shahina, Christy Munch, Soul Theatre, Perceputal Motion, Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, and Wannapa Pimtong-Eubanks will perform. This is "where dance, theatre, art, and film collide," and the subject matter ranges from a Baptist church, to a night in a bar, to political correctness, to West Side Story Redux. See the entry in our A/C section for more details. $15 ($10 students), March 13 and 14 at 7:30 at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse Theater, 3035 N. Hoyne. 773-486-8261

Tran: The Atari Musical @ The Spot

The 1982 sci-fi movie "Tron" gets an ... um.. unusual twist in "Tran: The Atari Musical", a celebration of all things '80s. Dig out your skinny tie, push those sportcoat sleeves up and see it at The Spot, 4437 N. Broadway, tonight at 8 p.m. The original production runs now through March 22 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Chicago Dance Crash @ The Viaduct

In the words of Director Mark Hackman: "For God's sake, it's not a dance concert! It's a rock concert for dance!" And they mean rock concert, right down to the live music, the hand stamp, the coat check, and the standing-room-only. Chicago Dance Crash's ballet-capoeira-acrobatics-breakin’ -hip-hop style is always uniquely entertaining, but when CDC makes the Viaduct their "own personal rock club," it's sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience. March 7, 8, 14, 15. $16 "cover" at the door. 3111 N. Western Ave. Doors open at 8:00 p.m., with the after-party ending at midnight. No advance reservations and only cash is accepted at the door.

Jen Rosenthal Reception @ Chicago Art Department

Rosenthal's meticulous and repetitive drawings are rooted in a lifelong practice of margin doodles and napkin sketches. Partly a meditative exercise, her recent work searches to explore deep into the psyche, looking to decipher the hidden messages in dreams, peel back the layers of the unconscious mind, and find balance in a wobbly world. Through April 6 (closing reception Fri., April 4 from 7 to 10 p.m.) Free. 6-10 p.m. 1837 S. Halsted. For more info, visit the Website.

School of Language @ Empty Bottle

School of Language plays this Friday, 3/14 at the Empty Bottle at 10pm — opening acts include Jim Becker & Scott Tuma, with Joe Adamik & Emmett Kelly and About A Girl. See the Feature in Transmission for full details and an interview with frontman David Brewis.

Chicago Sinfonietta @ Symphony Center

Chicago Sinfonietta celebrates the contributions women have made in classical music in honor of International Women's Month, dedicated to the economic, social, cultural and political achievements of women. Maestro Paul Freeman graciously hands over the baton as Cuban-born Tania Leon takes the podium as guest conductor. Leon leads the Sinfonietta in Ellen Zwilich's rich and dramatic Prologue & Variations, followed by the eclectic Irlande, poeme symphonique scored by Augusta Holmes. Also performed is Leon's Horizons. Concludes with a rousing performance of Chen Yi's abstract and spirited Ge Xu (Antiphony). $26-$40. 7:30 p.m. Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan. Call 312-236-3681 x2 or visit the Website.
