Having already clinched the AFL Central Division title, the Rush (9-3) may coast a little as the finish out the regular season. The meet the Brigade at 7 p.m. at the Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
The Force (6-0), Chicago's professional women's tackle football team, continue their run toward an undefeated season when they take on the Fox, also 6-0. In their last game, the Force crushed the Iowa Crush 56-0 and set a team record with 42 points in the first half. Local music, food, and goods are on the agenda for this weekend-long street festival. DJs spinning at Wicker Park Car Wash will provide the soundtrack while you visit some of Division Street’s finest restaurants and shops. In addition to dining and shopping, there will be a chess tournament and plenty of kid-friendly activities. In the evening, Southern rockers Lucero will take the stage to bring it on home. On Division Street between Ashland and Leavitt from noon to 10 pm May 31 and June 1. Admission is $5.

To celebrate the official U.S. holiday National Tap Day, the Old Town School presents their National Tap Day Festival. Tappers from Chicago and beyond will be on stage, including grand marshals Reggio “The Hoofer” McLaughlin and nonagenarian tap man Ernest “Brownie” Brown.

Learn the principles and practices of biodynamic agriculture in this one-day workshop, presented by the Angelic Organics farm (famous for its CSA boxes and a documentary film about the farm's spearhead) with Michael Fields Agricultural Institute. The workshop is held from 9 am to 5 pm at the Angelic Organics Learning Center, located at 1547 Rockton Rd, Caledonia, IL, about an hour and a half from Chicago. $90 will get you a day's worth of lectures on how to treat farms as living organisms, as well as hands-on activities to enhance learning.
